When the sun rises in Trento, it stays hidden for a long while behind the eastern mountains. There is a moment when the top of the western mountains start to be illuminated, but their bottom part and the valley are still fairly dark. The sky behind those mountains is slowly lightening, but at that moment, it’s still a dark cobalt blue. The contrast between the dark blue sky and the pale gray rocks and the white snow is so beautiful. I wish I could paint it to show you, or even capture it in a photo.
